SECOND NUCLEAR PLANT EXPLOSION IN JAPAN

Tokyo's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano stated that the hydrogen explosion at Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant on Monday trigered an order that hundreds of people should remain indoors. The explosion at the plant's Unit 3,sent a massive column of smoke into the air wounding 6 workers.Tokyo Electric Power Co. said radiation levels at Unit 3 were 10.65 microsieverts, significantly under the 500 microsieverts at which a nuclear operator must file a report to the government.Although the plant's operator said radiation levels at the reactor were still within legal limits, the government and people of Japan are fearing the worse.a similar explosion took place on saturday at the plant's Unit 1,injuring four workers and causing mass-evacuation.japan's nuclear safety agency made it clear it wasn't sure if the 6 workers injured in monday's explosion were exposed to radiation.More than 180,000 people have reportedly evacuated the Soma area in recent days, and up to 160 may have been exposed to radiation.Operators have been dumping seawater into units 1 and 3 in a last minute measure to cool the reactors.
