The death toll from the japan earthquake and tsunami is still rising,as at this morning at least 1000 people have been reported dead,most of whom appeared to have drowned by churning waters after the mid-afternoon earthquake,authorities fear this number will increase very fast.rumours of a small radiation leak from a nuclear reactor whose cooling system was knocked out by the quake is fast spreading.45 countries have offered search and rescue help,united states of america included with president obama vowing to assist in any way.The earthquake is reportedly the fifth most powerful to hit the world in the past century...beating the the Great Kanto quake of September 1, 1923, which had a magnitude of 7.9 and killed more than 140,000 people in the Tokyo area.

'MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS' SONGWRITER--MARTIN HUGH IS DEAD

songwriter Martin Hugh,who wrote the very popular christmas song--'have yourself a merry little christmas',passed away just yesterday night at his home in Encinitas, Calif.according to his niece suzanne Harnnes,96yrs old Hugh died from natural causes.His other famous works include "make a wish; Best foot forward; High spirits; Hooray for what?; The boy next door; trolley song.The birmingham born songwriter never married and had no children,he is survived by his brother 'Gordon martin',his nephews 'Gordon martin junior and Hugh Martin III.And nieces 'Hanners and Lua Martin Wells'.Hugh was nominated for best original song Academy Awards for "The Trolley Song" in 1944 and "Pass the Peace Pipe" from "Good News" in 1947. EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN!

Sad sad news y'all---a devastating 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit northern Japan,reportedly the worst in its history.The earthquake was followed by a 12m tsunami along parts of its coastline causing loads of fire outbreaks and leaving several injured.Japan prime minister Naoto kan appealed for calm saying "People in Japan should exercise the spirit of solidarity and act fast,We ask you to act in such a way to minimise the damage."The number of casualties haven't been released.

SETH GREEN'S VOICE HAS BEEN ERASED FROM THE ANIMATION 'MARS NEED MOMS'

The voice of actor Seth Green,has been erased off the upcoming animation--"Mars Need Moms".seth took the role of a 9yr old,spending 6weeks moving in sensor-equiped suits while also performing his lines.But during the post-production process when animators used computer imaging to shape the characters,it was clearly noticed that the actors voice was too matured to sound like a 9yr old.11yr old Seth dusky was brought in to dub Green's line.Technically,The character's body and motion is still Green's plus the film's publicity is still done by him.

44year old mike starr who was the original bassist in alice in chains was found dead yesterday in utah. his.starr,born in Honolulu,battled drug addiction for a while and was in doctor drew's celebrity rehab...third season in 1996.he was arrested last month in Salt Lake City on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having six Xanax pills and six tablets of the painkiller Opana.Dr drew tweeted some hours ago---- "Devastating to hear of Mike Starr succumbing to his illness.
