MUSICIAN OSKIDO'S GONE POLITICAL!

Down to south africa y'all.South African kwaito musician Oscar "Oskido" Mdlongwa has finished shooting the video of his political song Hondo after being contracted by African National Congress for its election campaign. The song takes its name from the Shona word that means war. It is part of ANC's election manifesto for the upcoming South African presidential elections pencilled in for 22 April. "The video is done, it's a matter of time before it goes on air. Oscar is very passionate about his work. The importance of the song propelled him to do a video for it," said Sly, Oskido's long time manager in Zimbabwe.Oskido, who when reached for a comment by the media usually says "no comment right what do you want", is a hit with the South African youth and is the only Zimbabwean in South Africa's top 100 most loved people. Hence the ANC took it upon itself to use him alongside the ANC Youth league to come up with the cut. Sources that work for Kalawa Jazmee said that a Kalawa Jazmee female artiste directed the video."The video was directed by Tina. She is up-and-coming in the industry," said the source.Tina is the latest female addition to the stable. She has an album entitled Ufezile. Hondo is an acapella song featured in Mdlongwa's seventh house music instalment entitled Oskido Church Grooves Seventh Commandment. Oskido is not new to revolutionary music. A few years back he released a bootleg song entitled the ZIPRA Mix.
